Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport (PHX)

Arizona’s largest and busiest, Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport, is situated in downtown Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. The airport serves 155 destinations, 129 domestic and 26 international, and has a passenger volume of over 48 million annually. PHX acts as a hub for American Airlines, an operating base for Frontier and Southwest Airlines, while hosting a total of 25 airlines. Moreover, the Phoenix Aviation Department owns and operates the airport.

At first, PHX airport had 4 terminals, although Terminals 1 and 2 have now been closed. Presently, the airport has 3 runways and more than 100 active gates in the two terminal buildings. A multitude of services and amenities are offered within the premises. A 20-year plan has been developed with numerous objectives and goals, aiming to make America’s Friendliest Airport, i.e., PHX, a more efficient and global aviation hub.
