Hawaiian Airlines Terminal at San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Currently, The Hawaiian Airlines San Fransico Airport terminal is the Harvey Milk Terminal 1. The airline has been sharing the space with Alaska Airlines since December 2024. This co-location initiative was launched to streamline operations and facilitate easier connections. Even though they share the same terminal space, Hawaiian and Alaska continue to operate under their own distinct airline systems until further integration is completed. The terminal offers modern seating, dining, shopping, and rest areas for both airlines’ passengers, without transferring to another terminal.

SFO Hawaiian Airlines Terminal Information

Hawaiian Airlines uses the same arrival and departure hall as Alaska Airlines at San Francisco International Airport Terminal 1. The Hawaiian Airlines SFO terminal levels for operations are: 

• Lower Level: Arrivals and baggage claim
• Level 2: Security checkpoint B and lounge
• Level 3: SFO club, check-in counters, and boarding gates
• Level 4: AirTrain station

Hawaiian Airlines Departures Terminal at SFO

The Hawaiian Airlines departure hall is located on level 2 of the SFO Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

• Look for the shared lobby area near the Alaska Airlines counters.
• The security checkpoints are located at the boarding area entrance with PreCheck, CLEAR, and Priority lanes.
• After passing through security, move to the B gates for departure.

Note: Large digital displays and helpful staff are available to guide passengers to reach the correct kiosks or bag-drop locations.

Hawaiian Airlines Arrival Terminal SFO

The deplaning procedure is handled in the lower level (arrival) of Terminal 1. Baggage claim carousels specifically assigned to Hawaiian Airlines flights are located here.

• The Global Entry Office is located on the arrival level of the international terminal.
• Use Mobile Passport to submit the passport and customs details on the phone instead of filling out paper forms, and then use the faster Mobile Passport Control lane.
• After immigration clearance, follow the signs to baggage claim. Hawaiian Airlines typically uses 6-11 carousels.

Once luggage is collected, head to the ground transportation area located close to the baggage claim.

SFO Airport Hawaiian Airlines Terminal Lounge

As of now, Hawaiian Airlines does not have its dedicated lounge at SFO Terminal 1. But the airlines share the space with Alaska Airlines, eligible members can access the Alaska Lounge and SFO Club.

• Alaska Lounge: Level 2, near gate B4
• Access: Alaska Membership, premium tickets (First/Business on partner airlines), or day passes
• Operating Hours: Sunday through Saturday: 5:00 am to 12:00 am
• SFO Club: Level 3
• Access: Priority Pass, specific status, and other lounge programs

Operating Hours: Sunday through Saturday: 4:30 am to 11:30 pm
