Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)

The second largest airport in Spain, Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport, is the main airport in Catalonia and on the Mediterranean coast. It is located 12 km southwest of Barcelona and near major ports and areas of Spain. Aena, a public business entity, manages the operations of Barcelona Airport. The airport has an annual passenger traffic of 50 million. More than 80 airlines fly out of BCN, and it is the headquarters for Vueling and LEVEL Airlines. Furthermore, 185 destinations are connected through the airport, international as well as domestic.

With two terminal buildings and three runways, Barcelona-El Prat Airport has a passenger capacity of 55 million passengers. These terminals offer various facilities for ground transportation, parking, and shops. New developments are being planned at BCN to expand the terminals, increase passenger capacity, and establish a railway connection to the city centre. AENA aims to make the airport an intercontinental hub and increase its flight operations.
