However, this American Airlines FLL Terminal doesn’t feature a U.S. Customs and Border Protection office. Hence, internationally arriving passengers must clear their customs process either through Terminal 1 or 4. The ticketing counters work between 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, it offers TSA facilities, curbside check-in, priority services, restaurants, shopping outlets, restrooms, mobile boarding passes, and much more.

• Arrive at Terminal 3 and take the free shuttle service to reach one of the terminals with international arrival services. 
• Complete the process by presenting documents at the office for verification. 
• Again, use the shuttles to come back to Terminal 3 and collect bags. 
• Exit the airport and use the available ground transportation outside the doors.

American Airlines handles its departures through Terminal 3 at FLL Airport, using level 2 and concourses E and F. The ticketing counters have some specific hours, but other options are also available to complete check-in, including online, a self-service booth, and curbside check-in. 

• Obtain a boarding pass from either of the above-mentioned methods. 
• Drop bags and proceed through the security checkpoints providing the TSA facility. 
• Locate the boarding gate either in concourse E or F.
• Move to the departure hall and wait for the boarding to start.
