Passengers can transfer to CTA buses using a Transit Card or unlimited ride pass, with up to two transfers within two hours available for just 25 cents when using a stored-value Transit Card.

CTA Buses

For travellers not using the CTA Orange Line, buses provide a convenient alternative for reaching Midway International Airport. The CTA operates nine bus routes serving the airport. CTA bus pick up and drop off centre is conveniently located at the same site as the Midway CTA station.

Pace Buses

Pace offers comprehensive bus service across the Chicago suburbs, including direct access to both Midway and O’Hare International Airports. Seven Pace routes serve Midway, with convenient drop-off and pick-up points near the Midway Transportation Center. Pace buses allow luggage at no extra cost, with no restrictions on baggage, and caged pets can also ride free.

Passengers transferring between a Pace bus and the CTA can save money by using a Pace/CTA electronic fare card, which is valid across both transit systems. Those paying with cash will need to pay $1.75 on the Pace bus and an additional $2.25 to board the CTA separately.
