Royal Air Maroc Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Royal Air Maroc carries out its flights through Terminal 1 currently at John F. Kennedy International Airport. But it will shift to New Terminal One between 2026 to 2028. Till then, all operations take place at the original one. It features four levels for arrivals and departures for both international and domestic flights. Level 3 of Royal Air Maroc JFK terminal has the ticketing counter outside security. The airline recommends some arrival times depending on the flight type, whether these are short, medium, or long routes. Additionally, passengers traveling domestically without luggage can check in for their return flights on the same day as departure. The airline doesn’t provide an online ticketing process for U.S. destinations. 

What terminal is Royal Air Maroc at JFK Airport?

As of 2025, Royal Air Maroc operates through Terminal 1 at JFK Airport, conducting both short-haul and long-haul flights. It utilizes the four available levels at this terminal to complete the procedures of flight landing and departing. 

• Level 1: handles all domestic arrivals of Royal Air with baggage claim and the JFK Ground Transportation facility. It also has a Customs and Border Protection office. 
• Level 2: is where all Royal Air’s international flyers arrive after the plane lands. 
• Level 3: features the ticketing counters, security checkpoints, departure halls, and boarding gates. 
• Level 4: contains the dining and AirTrain facilities, in case of connecting flights. 

NOTE: Royal Air Maroc doesn’t have an individual lounge at this airport. But eligible passengers can use the Air France Salon lounge, near gate 1 at level 3 of Terminal 1.

Level 1 and 2 lead the arrivals of Royal Air Maroc on Terminal 1 at John F. Kennedy International Airport. As level 1 has the CBP office, all international passengers will proceed to this level after arriving and claiming bags at level 2. Those traveling within the States can proceed directly to collect their luggage.

International flyers must clear their customs and immigration process at level 1 by presenting the essential documents at the office.

Royal Air Maroc manages its departures through level 3 at JFK Airport Terminal 1. All Ticketing counters, security checkpoints, and boarding gates. However, passengers cannot complete check-in if their destination is in the United States, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Canada, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Israel, Russia, or China.

• Complete check-in through counters, outside the security area. 
• Level 3 has three checkpoints: one for priority members, another with a TSA facility, and the last with general lanes. The wait time remains between 0 to 1 minutes. 
• Moving straight in the direction of the checkpoint, passengers can find the boarding gates. 
• The gates close 15 minutes before departure for both long-haul and short-haul flights. 

NOTE: The ticketing counters close 1 hour prior to takeoff. Hence, Royal Air advises flyers to arrive at the airport 2, 3, and 4 hours early for domestic, short-haul, and long-haul international flights, respectively.
