Previously, Hawaiian Airlines JFK Terminal was Terminal 4. However, to join the Alaska Airlines and other Oneworld alliance partners’ consolidation, the airline moved its operations to Terminal 8 in April 2025. Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport handles all domestic and long-haul Hawaiian flights. All the Hawaiian Airlines departure and arrival operations are managed on four levels. 

• Level 1: The baggage claim for domestic and international Hawaiian flights is managed on level 1.
• Level 2: A free AirTrain facility that connects other terminals is available here.
• Level 3: The ticket counter, check-in counters, and security checkpoints dedicated to Hawaiian Airlines are located on this level.
• Level 4: This level features all Oneworld alliance partner lounges.

Tunnel: It connects Concourse B and Concourse C via underground walkways with moving sidewalks.

Hawaiian Airlines Departure Terminal at JFK

The JFK Airport Hawaiian Airlines Terminal departures are managed in the main departure hall. 

• Full-service and self-service check-in counters open 4 hours before departure. Online and mobile check-in services are also there to save time at the airport.
• TSA PreCheck and CLEAR are available for eligible members, helping reduce JFK wait times.
• Proceed to access the boarding gates located within the secure area after the baggage drop and security check process.
• The walk time to Terminal 8 gates is usually between 5 to 11 minutes.

The Hawaiian Airlines arrivals are managed in the arrival hall of Terminal 8.

• Move to the JFK baggage claim area at level 1 of the JFK Hawaiian Airlines terminal.

• The ground transportation and JFK car rental counters are located near the baggage claim areas.

AirTrain: It is the most efficient way to travel between terminals or connect to the NYC Subway and Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

Ride Share and Taxi: Dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones are located directly outside Hawaiian Airlines JFK Terminal 8.

Parking: Terminal 8 Red Garage parking lots are available near Hawaiian Check-in counters, with the AirTrain providing a quick link to the terminal doors.
