TAP Air Portugal Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

TAP Air Portugal operates out of the Tom Bradley Terminal B at Los Angeles International Airport, offering routes outside the boundaries of the United States. This terminal has five levels, supporting all arrivals and departures. Level 1 features all baggage claim belts and customs facilities, while check-in counters are in Aisle B on level 3. However, all flights depart from level 4 using west gates. The counter opens 3.5 hours in advance and closes 60 minutes before take-off time. Eligible customers can access the Star Alliance lounge on level 6 of the TAP Air Portugal LAX terminal. Additionally, due to government restrictions, online check-in opens 24 hours before flight boarding.

TAP Air Portugal uses Terminal B at LAX Airport, serving multiple destinations worldwide. It includes flights to and from Lisbon, Milan, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Athens, Frankfurt, Zurich, Geneva, Vienna, Manchester, Berlin, and many more. The terminal has five levels, but Tap uses four of them, as the airport reserves level 5 for restaurants and LAX lounges. 

• Level 1: It consists of all post-arrival facilities, including baggage belts, the Customs and Border Protection office, and LAX ground transportation outside the exit doors. 
• Level 3: This level is above the arrival level, providing all TAP check-in and bag drop counters. 
• Level 4: The departure level with TSA security checkpoints and west boarding gates that TAP Portugal uses. 
• Level 6: After completing the ticketing procedure, eligible members can move to this level to access the Star Alliance lounge. 

NOTE: Due to ongoing construction, the airport has changed the locations of ground transportation within this terminal. Hence, everyone must check it on its official website.

Los Angeles Airport TAP Air Arrivals Terminal

TAP Air Portugal holds all of its arrivals through Tom Bradley International Airport, using level 1 at Los Angeles Airport. As it flies only from origins outside the United States, all passengers will complete their customs process before claiming their bags. 

• Follow the airport signs after disembarking and reach level 1. 
• Go to the customs office and present all required documents to the officer. 
• Complete the procedure and proceed to the baggage claim area.
• Collect bags from the carousel belts. 
• Take exit doors and use the shuttles, public buses, rideshares, taxis, and other transportation.

NOTE: This Portugal Airlines doesn’t have any dedicated baggage service or lost and found office at this airport. Hence, passengers must report their issues either online through the website or the LAX Airport’s office. 

TAP Air Portugal departures terminal at LAX Airport

Los Angeles International Airport provides departure services to TAP Portugal through two levels of Terminal B. Level 3 has all ticketing and bag drop facilities, while everyone moves to level 4 to board their flights. 

• The check-in counters open 3 hours and 30 minutes early and close one hour before the flight departs. However, flyers can access their boarding passes 24 hours early by completing the ticketing process online. 
• After getting passes, everyone heads to level 4 to go through the TSA security screening. 
• TAP Air uses the west gates for boarding the flights. Follow the signage to reach the departure area. 
• Be there at least 30 minutes prior to the flight take-off time. 

TAP Air Portugal has its presence on Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX Airport. It offers all essentials, along with other premium facilities for all arriving and departing passengers. Moreover, Los Angeles Airport parking lots P3 and P4 extend direct access to the terminal.
